What do others say?

We met two facilitators, who share their views on the honey-ghost-trap®:

Wienke Struijs (NL)

Meet Wienke Struijs, one of our facilitators. As HR Manager at the Dutch company Akerendam, she shares why the method speaks to her on such a deep level:

"In HR, we often talk about talent development, leadership and organizational culture - usually focusing on what is visible and measurable. But real transformation often happens below the surface: in our blind spots that limit our potential, or in the invisible rules - personal or collective - that silently impede change or lead to hasty judgments.
As an HR manager with psychologists as colleagues, I had a unique opportunity to explore the honey-ghost-trap® (HGT) method. This is not a standard coaching model, but a deep and reflective journey into the unconscious patterns that hold us back - and how we can grow beyond them.
With a background in law and experience in business development, I have always been interested in how people work within systems and relationships. The HGT method deepens that perspective by making visible the underlying patterns that shape our behavior and interactions. Today, I am proud to be a certified HGT facilitator."

Tina Sörqvist (SE)

Tina Sörqvist is one of our Swedish facilitators. She has a long HR background with experience from exciting, international companies and today works as a strategic consultant and coach in organization, leadership and HR. Here she tells us why she likes working with honey-ghost-trap®:

"I have been certified in honey-ghost-trap® since 2023, and one of the reasons is that I appreciate that the method focuses on understanding and inviting the whole person - with all her sides. It is incredibly valuable to use the method to quickly, respectfully and accurately discover and create understanding of important and valuable shadow sides within ourselves that we have not previously had full insight into.

We gain an insight into how these shadow sides have arisen and also how they influence and guide our thoughts, behaviors and decisions. With that insight and understanding, we become wiser in relation to ourselves - but we also gain a deeper understanding of our fellow human beings."

Voices on shadow training from satisfied participants

“I think one of the major advantages of having been involved in this process for a long time is that I have gained insight into things about myself and my leadership that have become clear to me, which were not really clear to me before. It has been very good and useful to take with me going forward.”
– Carina Håkansson, board member of SCA, Dala Energi, Inlandsbanan, and Vasaloppet. Chair of IVA Section VIII

"It has been an extremely useful tool. It is quite beneficial for people to realize that it is acceptable to have those darker sides as well. [...] For me, it has been a way to gain a clearer, broader picture of myself, and it has helped me to share that picture with others."
– Mattias Kanold, Developer of people, teams, and organizations

"This work gives me a broader palette and it makes me more secure and I get access to more qualities that strengthen me both as a private person and in my leadership. And a higher tolerance for so much too, because everything has two sides."
- Astrid Westfeldt Corneman, CEO Nackademin

"The work with the shadow theory has allowed me to see in my team that people are different and must be allowed to be so, and that it is I who must relate to how I behave towards those who require and need completely different types of input and output from me."
- Ulrika Dieroff, Head of Business Services at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Southern Sweden

"Ann is absolutely fantastic here, because she playfully brings out the worst in us and makes it not feel so bad. Afterwards, it feels like we took two steps forward in being a team in what we want to achieve. Specifically, we have become much faster at coming to decisions when we have difficult questions and we have better meeting discipline."
- Johan Backman, Director of Market Development, Circle K Sweden

"The biggest advantage for a group using honey-ghost-trap is really to develop a common language, to see the advantages of everyone's different sides. Here we got a way to see them, to know when to use them, and also to challenge and encourage each other to use them at the right moment."
– Cecilia Hedqvist, CEO ID06 AB

"The best thing about Ann is that she is so incredibly empathetic and understanding. No matter what challenge you face, she always finds a perspective that is both helpful and positive in your dilemma, which I think is a fantastic quality."
– Katrin Dahlström, CEO, Byggvarubedömningen

Ann is a true professional. She sees, listens and reads the people in the room. And based on where the group is right now, she takes us on an insightful development journey.
- Chris Hester, Chairman of the Board of the Spritmuseum and former County Governor
